Another dangerous beauty! Like the Marble Cone Shell, the Japanese Wonder shell uses a venomous harpoon mechanism to paralyze its prey before swallowing. It resides in deep waters of 200 to 1300 feet. A perfect spiral, it is rumored to have been the inspiration for Frank Lloyd Wright’s design of the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
